Located just a few miles south of Rancho Bernardo is a Northrop Grumman aerospace site where a cluster of buildings house operations for the company’s Mission Systems division. The facility develops and tests technologies for military communications throughout a potential battle space network, from ships to aircraft, to ground to orbit. Northrop Grumman acquired the site when it purchased TRW in 2001.
