Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems Rancho Bernardo

Northrop Grumman’ Aerospace Systems division has at least a dozen buildings in the tech-heavy office parks of Rancho Bernardo, including this office building, which is known as Building 1. Rancho Bernardo is where the company’s unmanned aircraft are developed, including the Global Hawk, the chief competitor for the General Atomic’s Predator and Reaper, which were also developed in Rancho Bernardo, in buildings across the street from Northrop Grumman’s. Northrop Grumman’s drone production operations have been based here since the company purchased Teledyne-Ryan in 1999.
