This small airport is leased to General Atomics, and is used for flight testing related to the development of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). One of many World War II auxiliary training airfields, it is one of the first airports established for UAVs, starting with CIA-backed UAV development in the 1970s. Facilities consist of small hangar structures, support buildings, and a runway, adjacent to El Mirage Dry Lake in the Antelope Valley.
