General Atomics Aeronautical Systems division occupies a dozen or so buildings in the office parks of Poway, including this one at 14200 Kirkham Way, located at the center of what could be the closest thing to a corporate campus for the group, which employs around 6,000 people in Poway. The Aeronautical Systems division makes surveillance systems, command and control systems, and UAVs, including the Predator and Reaper, at a few dozen locations in the tech-heavy suburbs of northern San Diego County, especially here in Poway. The parent company, General Atomics, is based out of its historic headquarters near the University of California San Diego campus at Torrey Pines.
