This is one of two service areas on the Turnpike in the Meadowlands (named after a famous football coach who taught at a high school in nearby Edgewood, NJ). It provides fast food, gas, wifi, lottery tickets, restrooms, brochures for regional attractions, maps, and lots of parking. The service area is managed for the Turnpike Authority by HMS Host, a traveler’s services company that operates hundreds of retail and restaurant areas in airports and on highways all over the world. HMS Host is owned by the Italian company Autogrill (which may explain why Italian fare is often featured at American highway travel centers).
